In a very disturbing video for all hardware lovers in general, but mostly for crypto miners, Police in the Malaysian city of Miri, used a steam roller to decimate over, what’s reported as over 1.6 Million (USD) (RM5.3 million) worth of “bitcoin” mining equipment. Using “bitcoin” as general term as there could have been other types of devices used for mining other coins like Doge, LTC, ETH etc. In this really un believable video posted to You Tube just days ago they literally layed out the hardware and video taped them using a steam roller destroying all of it.

Ok, so the cops found these meat heads were stealing electricity to run these things and i can tell you just 1 of them makes your home electric bill look like a 12v battery. So they stole electricity, not good, they also got most of what they earned in doing all this confiscated by the PD. All good on the punishment fined $1,900 USD (weak) and arrested for stealing electricity (pretty stiff). But why in the fires of Hades would you destroy all of these devices in public and say nothing more about their destruction, there is a chip shortage, hell, most of the stuff was probably made there to begin with. I think it would go over better if not resold, smart idea, or tell everyone they recycled it at the very least. The lack of info is the shock and awe move. There are so many recyclable metals, gold included, fans, screws, copper wire, PSU etc…
If they were trying to send a message to people who steal electricity, I believe this a bit far.
